Red Cherry Coulis

Thunderbolt is a large (170 lb) male with a commanding presence. Light silver grey, with very few small black spots in his blanket. 15 years old and still very soft with organized architecture. Friendly too, and easy to handle. Very easy to lead and work with for monthly herd health, but pushy to the feed dishes. In 2018 Thunderbolt gave us a medium silver grey, almost spotless, female out of a black dam. Four more girls in 2021!! - a BEW out of black dam (so you know dam has a white spot), a medium silver grey out of light fawn dam (see picture of Snickers), light brown (with a little white on nose and forehead) out of a dark fawn dam, and a solid black out of a black dam. And two out of two in 2022! A dark brown (maroon) out of a maroon dam, and a medium-to-dark brown out of a light brown dam. He makes girls - not so much grey. Fiber analysis results of Thunderbolt's 2018 shearing are below. Not to shabby for an 11 year old breeding grey male. He actually feels much softer than the AFD and SD suggests. He is currently residing with us in River Falls, WI. It's time for Thunderbolt to find a different herd. Maybe as a 4-H performance animal? He's personable, easy to lead, and very pretty.
