Quattro: Born on July 4. 4th cria of the year 2019. 4th cria from Sergio born on our farm. What do they say? Different day, different judge, different result? Well..... same weekend in October, different judges, different results. But, looking at who was in the ring with us, no complaints on any of the placings! Yes, two 6ths, a 3rd, and a gate, but also a 2nd that resulted in Reserve Color!!!! It's all based on what the judge emphasizes. So, what does she have: Quattro has great crimp character that is consistent tip to skin and also shoulder to barrel to hip; very nice bundling; she has a narrow diameter distribution across the fibers (20 micron average), so could be finer; she is lacking staple length, and could use a bit more density. She is slender and doesn't have the full teddy bear face. But very calm, stands well, and friendly. Almost too friendly - tries to eat as you're carrying the food dishes, and always seems to be in the doorway, not wanting to move out of your way. Quattro is soooo close to full Accoyo it's a shame. She has a great-great grandmother who was not Accoyo (but full Peruvian). By my calculations she's 31/32 Accoyo (mayebe even more). Quattro delivered a white boy (named Benidito) on June 8 (by Quest's Esteban owned by Frosty Ridge Alpacas). Covered in tight curls! Unfortunately, he's a bit narrow both front and back, and he got the gate at the two shows in Madison, both a class of 10. June 2025 arrived a medium fawn, male cria by Campion, who we named Cinco. Loving the look of this guy.
